What Happened During Hurricane Ian
Hurricane Ian made landfall on Florida's Gulf Coast as a powerful Category 4 storm, bringing extreme storm surge and destructive winds. Tarpon Pier suffered catastrophic damage and was wiped out almost entirely, forcing a long closure.
